I’m not very good at putting things into words.
Words convey meaning directly, but they also lock the reader’s focus in place.
"Sad."
That word makes it immediately clear that someone is sad. It’s easy to understand.
But that’s where the thinking stops.
Because the concept is fixed—"they are sad."
Because a word has only one meaning.
Paintings are mysterious.
The viewer,
the era,
the location—
the meaning conveyed by the painting shifts depending on these things.
There is no single right answer.
There are no "correct answers" in this world.
It all comes down to "choice" and "interpretation."
In a painting, there is no gravity, no concept of time, no conventional wisdom, and no "taken-for-granted" rules.
It is a world entirely of your own creation.
What will you paint on that blank white canvas?
It could be a chaotic mess of black,
or the deep, deep blue of the ocean.
Because it is a world of total freedom.
And into the world you’ve created, I want you to add just one thing:
the shape of your brilliant future—
even if it starts out small—
and the colors of your ideal.
After all, it is *your* world.
Don’t give up.
Painting the light...
choosing the light...
that is up to you.
